lemnis lighting
Sustainable lighting with led technology
Lemnis is a forerunner in the field of sustainable lighting solutions, based on led technology. Early in 2009, the company won the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneer Award 2009, as well as the World Bank’s Lighting Africa Award. In November 2006, Lemnis introduced the first led light bulb that can realistically be viewed as a viable replacement of the incandescent light bulb. The technology used also has other applications in public lighting and greenhouse lighting.
Consumers and businesses can make the difference by switching from traditional lighting to Lemnis lighting. It’s simple. It’s just a change? Old light-bulb out, new one in. You’ll have instant result. Saving up to 90% in energy. It’s that easy.
Introducing the Pharox. So much more than a light bulb.
Innovative. Stylish. Eco-Friendly. The Pharox family of led lights delivers warm, beautiful light for every room in your home. They last up to 25 years and come with a 5-year warranty that includes free returns. Plus, they’re good for the planet, not to mention your energy bill. Going green never looked quite so good.
Greenhouse cultivation with growth accelerating led technology
In the Netherlands it takes the combined output of two coal-fired power plants to produce the energy that is required for lighting crops in Dutch greenhouse cultivation. Lemnis Oreon led lighting can do this more efficiently by saving 30 to 35 percent on energy. Crops only use parts of the full light spectrum to grow. The ideal light wavelengths coupled with optimal directional characteristics that point the light at the crops rather than at the ceiling, enable energy savings even over existing energy efficient lighting, while reducing light pollution.
Lemnis Oreon led lighting is in use today, and helps enhance crop yield per square meter, save energy and make greenhouses more sustainable.
Led lighting and nice extra’s powered by solar
We combine revolutionary led technology with solar power for situations with limited access to electricity. This Pharox Solar powered led solution adds a new dimension to sustainable developments in lighting. Where possible extra functionalities are added like the possibility of charging mobile devices (phones, MP3 players, iPod’s).
