Payment cards with a future

RePay International is the company responsible for the worldwide implementation of the ClimaCount carbon offset scheme. It is made available through financial service providers worldwide, either by a licensing business model or by establishing partnerships with businesses and organisations.

A co-branded payment card is offered as part of a one-stop strategy. Every aspect of the ClimaCount scheme is supervised to the highest quality standards by independent experts to ensure reliability and transparency.

ClimaCount’s powerful online tools help card holders to make more responsible choices. ClimaCount actively teaches cardholders how to reduce their carbon footprint. As one cannot reduce its entire footprint is calculates and compensates and provides personal insight in unavoidable carbon emissions of everyday purchases made with a ClimaCount payment card.

ClimaCount paves the way from purchase to reduction. It’s easy as 1-2-3.

LifeStyler® educates on everyday lifestyle issues

Carbon footprints are not limited to card purchases. LifeStyler helps to increase awareness and insight in the total individual carbon footprint. Therefore it provides tips and suggestions to make better choices. It is both an entertaining and educational application to learn about our planet’s health and how to help our planet to get a bit healthier. It keeps people involved and educates them on how they can reduce their impact on our planet.

RePay designed the LifeStyler concept, which was then developed further by the Dutch research institute for technical sciences, TNO.

Carbon emissions are offset by tangible projects

At ClimaCount we don’t promise solutions to problems that can’t be solved yet. And we don’t make promises we can’t keep. We offer a reality? we can achieve here and now. A way to limit, day after day, the impact of our modern way of living. . We develop projects that are set up to offset calculated carbon emissions. Each programme reduces carbon emissions and meets the international ICROA standards laid down for carbon offsetting.

Visa Greencard

The Visa GreenCard was launched in 2004 in the Netherlands. It introduced the ClimaCount carbon offset scheme at a time when the possibility to offset carbon emissions was still relatively unknown to the general public. Since then, the innovative concept of a green credit card has been enthusiastically embraced by Dutch consumers.

The Visa Greencard has won support and accolades from the European Financial Management & Marketing Association (EFMA).

Visa Greencard corporate

In the Netherlands, Visa Europe, in cooperation with RePay International and ICS, has launched the Visa GreenCard Corporate. This unique credit card allows businesses and governments to easily and inexpensively contribute to their sustainable business operations by compensating carbon emissions resulting from all purchases with the credit card.
